An Eagle Project must demonstrate leadership and provide service to a worthy institution other than the Boy Scouts. This may be a religious institution, school, or your community. The project may not be routine labor like cutting the grass at the church or picking up trash along the road. It may not benefit the BSA or any Scout property or any business or individual. Fundraising is only permitted to obtain money to pay for materials you need for your project. The project may not be a fund-raiser in itself. While it is nice to do projects for your sponsoring organization, it is not at all required. Project ideas can be found in many places: in the newspaper, at your church, at your school, or from community organizations.
